Using a Personality Analysis at the time of recruitment and at the annual Performance Review, will highlight areas of personality 'misfit' with the role. An annual review of the Position Description aligned with a Personality Analysis can open the communication channels and provide a pathway for developing valuable employees and meeting business objectives.
The usual 'how is it going'? will likely get the reply 'fine'. The manager reaction is 'So why did they leave'? Possibly the employee was feeling completely overwhelmed, but unwilling to enter into a discussion for fear of misinterpretation of their concerns. Personality Analysis that indicates the areas where they are operating under stress makes the manager - employee discussion less personal. It becomes a process based on fact and an action plan can be designed.
Employee turnover is a costly exercise so working proactively is worth consideration. Don't just measure your employees skills, measure their behaviours and spend time on development of both.
